Dance & Art Company “SOFISTIK-JIVO” has won some of the most prestigious national and international awards, including the Sofia Grand Prix, the Diamond of Asia Award, the Art Award of the Princess of Jordan.
The Company has captivated awdiences with their artistry on stages across Europe, Asia, and Africa. From all the countries they have visited, we have incorporated dances, memories, and much love into our repertoire. Our dances are exceptionally rich and diverse, carrying a unique creative signature – lively, vibrant, stimulating, unconventional, wise, and seeking art.
Elina Topalska & Nikoleta Ilcheva
Team leaders
Elina Topalska and Nikoleta Ilcheva are the main figures in Dance & Art Company SOFISTIK-JIVO.
Elina is one of the founders of the company and for the last 40 years she has given the Company’s direction with bold confidence, persistence and discipline, amazing creative intuition and unerring sense.
Nikoleta is a young professional specializing in both the creative art process and and dedicated to the managerial and organizational field in arts.
International festivals
The performers of the Company spread the glory of Bulgarian dance and art at many festivals, competitions and concerts outside Bulgaria. The first international participation of the Compnay was in 1989 in Russia. This was followed by tours and festivals in Romania (1991, 2014), Belgium (1992), Hungary (1995), Slovenia (1997), Italy (2003), Greece (2005, 2008), Jordan (2009), Turkey (1994, 1998, 2010), India (2010), Taiwan (2012, 2016), Serbia (2013, 2015), Thailand (2014, 2019), Philippines (2014), China (2017), Andorra (2019), Morocco (2019), Greece (2023), Indonesia (2023).
